Audience Development and Activity Plan

During the Autumn of 2015, Fiona and Robert researched and wrote an audience development and activity plan for English Heritage, in preparation for a major HLF bid for one of their properties.

Audience Development at Shepherds Dene

December 2010 - March 2013

Shepherds Dene is the Anglican Dioceses of Newcastle and Durham’s Retreat House. During December 2010 Robert established Facebook pages for them here. Former director George Hepburn says “Robert’s skills and enthusiasm and sheer persistence are invaluable”.

Bridge North East

Dr Sarah Jackson and Fiona completed a review of the heritage and schools programmes which had been running across the North East during the years 2011-2015 for Bridge North East.

Cataloguing at South Shields

Between December 2015 and August 2016, Robert and Fiona catalogued the local studies reserve collection of South Shields Public Library in preparation for the library’s move to new premises.

Making a Mark - teacher evaluation

Making a Mark, a museum project running with seven Tees Valley museums and the National Portrait Gallery. Working with Dr Sarah Jackson, Fiona and Sarah evaluated the project from the perspective of the teaching staff involved. Their report may be viewed on the National Portrait Gallery website

Marketing Work

September 2006 – ongoing

Fionn Consultancy worked intensely for the development and advocacy of The Forsythe Collection, one of the largest collections of transport ephemera in the country. In January 2009, this was saved for the nation and purchased by the National Railway Museum at York, part of NMSI. You can inquire about the collection through their website.
